Merge?

This would be a good page to merge with the page on Renminbi and have links disambiguate to one or the other. โ€”Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.210.143.46 (talk โ€ข contribs) 2006-06-14 23:34:30

I do not agree. China has 10 years of currencies. It has 50 of RMB. With a bit of luck the RMB will become a footnote to this article. Lao Wai 10:41, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Actually archaeology only proves of abut 30,000 years, first proberly starting with cowie shell's, then knife and hoe money imitation's, and in the waring states period the issuence of round coin's of a set wieght. Enlil Ninlil 05:50, 16 June 2006 (UTC)123

Whether it's 5000 or 3000 is not the point here. I do not agree with the merge. --ChoChoPK (็ƒ็ƒPK) (talk | contrib) 10:00, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Same argument as at Renminbi. The RMB is the currency of the PRC, not some subset. It's use in the SARS is irrelevant. SchmuckyTheCat 22:40, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

references

I have added the reference I used for my edits in 2007. The information was used in the information for National Currency, Legal Currency, Silver Yuan, Gold Yuan, Taiwan Yuan, Northeastern 9 Provinces Yuan and Communist Yuan. Some information on Japanese invasion currency also came from this book, but I am trying to find the other source book I used (not easy). ViXx (talk) 14:32, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:First100.jpg

Image:First100.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

reference to RoC as "Kuomintang Central Government"

Why is the name of the party used instead of the country? It's like changing PRC to CCP everywhere. 67.174.85.140 (talk) 00:39, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Permission to insert content from Primal Trek regarding Chinese coinage. ๐ŸŽซ

I received permission from the owner of a website to use some of his copyrighted content in this page, I linked to this article and specifically asked if I could and he said yes.

I eโ€™mailed Mr. Gary Ashkenazy (ื’ืืจื™ ืืฉื›ื ื–ื™) regarding the usage of this page of Primal Trek, I eโ€™mailed/contacted him through Skinnyrooster.com, โ€œSkinny Roosterโ€ ๐Ÿ” is the nickname his grand-mother gave to Gary Ashkenazy, so the sites are indeed related. But now my questions are: How can I prove that I have his permission? Do I need to send the eโ€™mail to Wikipediaโ€™s Open-source Ticket Request System? How would I integrate the copyrighted work? Can it be copied and then pasted or would I have to re-word every sentence to not be copyrighted?

Sent from my Microsoft Lumia 950 XL with Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile ๐Ÿ“ฑ.

Furthermore the permission also regarded the use of images of historical Chinese coins. --1.55.183.244 (talk) 14:01, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Please go to Wikipedia:OTRS. --Codename Alex (talk) 06:13, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
I contacted him through his e-mail ๐Ÿ“ง here, and screenshotted a permission note from him as the profile "manymore", or this "manymore" (Gary Ashkenazy on forums, he ALWAYS uses this handle.), would these be considered valid? --58.187.171.100 (talk) 13:34, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
How would the content be integrated? --Donald Trung (talk) 13:35, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

Guangxu copper coin, better image needed. ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ€„๐Ÿ’ด

A milled 10 cash coin from the Qing dynasty, minted in the province of Henan.

@Hayman30deservestodie: Could you please upload a better image with both sides of this coin? Thank you in advance. I tried contacting you but you didn't respond. --1.55.177.148 (talk) 02:14, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

If anyone else could it would make me very happy ๐Ÿ˜Š, this article really lacks a lot of images. --1.55.177.148 (talk) 02:15, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Ancient Chinese coins from minor kingdoms ๐Ÿ‘‘.

Would information on Jin Ho coins be "too detailed" for an overview article, or not? --58.187.171.100 (talk) 07:23, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
