Untitled[edit]

Blanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow's first term as President of Turkmenistan and moved the content to the "recent history" section of this page-don't see any reason why it deserves its own article. Lexington1 (talk) 20:51, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

The Early history of Turkmenistan article is just a cut-and-paste job from a Library of Congress source, and on its own isn't enough material to have a separate article. The material should be integrated into the History of Turkmenistan article, and the early history article should a re-direct and/or deleted. Otebig (talk) 17:44, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Change dating system to Common Era[edit]

I will be changing the dating system on this article away from the biased, Christian based AD/BC to the common era system.  This will bring the article into alignment with secular usage such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_India.  If you object, please state why you are ok with the biased system here. Eupnevma (talk) 20:12, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Before you go changing AC BC please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style, specifically MOS:VAR. Also, instead of hundreds of discussions regarding the changes on hundreds of different talk pages, get a conversation going here: Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style. Thanks!
