GA review (see here for criteria)

This is a nice piece of work! It could use a box with the insignia of the Air Force, etc. This will not hold up its review any longer, but I'd appreciate your adding it at your convenience.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
I realize these are your own pictures. Some museums prohibit the publication of their exhibits.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
really nice job! It you're going to take it further, you'll need to get the A review at Military History, and they will help with the rest of the Manual of Style issues, and the box. Nice nice job. Auntieruth55 (talk) 23:10, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edits July 2013[edit]

The additions this date, made without discussion much less consensus, appear to be well-meaning but imo degrade this article from its GA status. The lack of any documentation whatsoever ensures that. The aircraft list has no organization, not alphabetically, not chronologically, rudimentarily by type, and is difficult to understand. I can see that a lot of effort went into the addition, but the list probably ought better to be a separate article of its own. I sense an editor also struggling with the language, the reason I was first enlisted to overhaul this article several years ago. I hope someone will take a serious interest in again bringing this article up to standard.--Reedmalloy (talk) 00:04, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to User:GraemeLeggett for promptly making corrective edits. If you're reading this and happen to be the original editor, please open a discussion on this page to help us in documenting your edit. A list of aircraft is material to the history of the Swiss AF, obviously. In the meantime I will carefully study the edited material to find some organization for it along the above lines.--Reedmalloy (talk) 14:51, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we seem to have a WP:COMPETENCE problem here.  Sandstein  20:48, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
From WP:COMPETENCE: "It does not mean we can label people as incompetent." and "if WP:COMPETENCE applies to an editor, it is usually not appropriate to tell them so." On related article discussion pages, and even on the talk page of the editor concerned, there have been overt accusations on one side or the other. It would be kind to tread carefully. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 09:36, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
