This article is about the formation of the Taliban in the mid-1990s; the 2021 Taliban offensive is a separate topic. Even if material from the latter article were relevant here, your spamming of breaking news reports inaccurately asserting that "The US and UK are conducting a re-entry into Afghanistan" (based on the U.S. evacuating its embassy in Kabul) is not helpful or constructive to the development of Wikipedia's encyclopedic project.TheTimesAreAChanging (talk) 13:50, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Support, based on common usage within Wikipedia. With that said, I would not be adverse to a broader discussion on the use of "Taliban" vs "the Taliban"; translated over, "Taliban" is more grammatically correct, and the use of "Taliban" vs "the Taliban" varies in English usage based on the country the use is occuring in.
