Notes about agate[edit]

I started this article a long time ago but got bogged down trying to find a reliable source about the status of Holley Blue Agate. If I recall correctly, according to numerous chat boards and mineral dealers, the site for mining the agate was shut down in 1997 (so there is some FUTON bias in ability to find refs) and it is now owned by the BLM and leased by a logging company. Since both the folks who mined the mineral and the government and/or current owners have an interest in keeping the location a secret, it may be difficult to find out more without some (pun unintended) digging.
