Coat of arms[edit]

While nowadays it's consistently described as Gules a nettle-leaf argent, some writers have said it was originally Argent a bordure indented gules. (I'll try to find a reference, if I don't forget about it.) A point in favor of the bordure hypothesis is that charges usually don't take up quite so much of the field. —Tamfang (talk) 20:52, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

A map is fine accompanying the text. This map, however, is quite inaccurate. Several large islands have not been given the appropriate colour, such as Rømø/Römö, Sild/Sylt, Als/Alsen, Ærø/Ärö and Fehmarn, all to Slesvig/Schleswig.Hhbruun (talk) 15:21, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
