I have assessed this article for the Military History project and believe it to be a Start class article. I believe that it does not meet B class criteria 1, 3 and 5. I believe that it could be improved by addressing the following:

Referencing: the referencing of this article could be improved by including a separate Notes and References section, with in-line citations for each paragraph and a list of sources used. At the moment, not every paragraph has a citation;
Structure: the structure of the article could be improved by breaking it up into sections, including an expanded lead or introductory section. A possible structure might be: Introduction, History, Order of Battle, Commanding Officers (if applicable), Notes, References, See also, External links;
Supporting materials: the article could be improved by the addition of an infobox or some pictures to illustrate it.
