There are many other Centers of/for Excellence. I'm not sure if I'm suggesting making it clear that this is not a comprehensive list, or nixing the redirect from Center of Excellence, because it's not always clear how involved the defense department is.

e.g.'s http://www.wpic.pitt.edu/research/CeFAR/default.htm http://web.jhu.edu/HLTCOE/about.html

I completely agree. This is a specific Center of Excellence, not a description of what Centers of Excellence are in general. The redirect to this page needs to be removed.

This redirect is absolutely non-sensical. Remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.225.107.17 (talk) 17:38, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure I'd say non-sensical, but there should be a page for Center of Excellence (just like there's one for Institute) that would link to this (overly specific) page. --BenTremblay (talk) 01:52, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is now an updated list of current DHS Centers of Excellence, which are a specific group of centers focused on researching and developing solutions for problems within the interest domain of the Department of Homeland Security, which were at one point or are still supported by DHS. I disagree that this page should be removed in favor of a general "Center of Excellence" page, although those do exist and deserve their own descriptive page. --PeppyPistachio (talk) 07:32, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
