5-Door Hatchback / Civic Country[edit]

Hi,

I'd like to confirm the availability of both the Honda Civic 5-door hatchback and the Country which is a variation of the 5-door wagon with woodgrain paneling (a la Chrysler Town & Country, Ford Country Squire and Chevrolet Caprice Classic Estate): I believe none of these variations were sold in North America (which includes my homeland that is the USA). Correct?

Automatic transmission[edit]

I can't speak for 1981-1983, but, as the owner of a 1980 Civic DX, which my father bought new, the automatic was a 2-speed Hondamatic, semi-auto transmission. The main Honda Civic page makes mention of this in it's paragraph about the 2nd generation Civic. I am not sure why the contradiction arises. King V (talk) 19:15, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The twin carburettors shared much in common with the legendary RS models of the mid-70s[edit]

What legendary RS model?

What were the trims of the first generation Civics? There's nothing about this "legendary" model on the gen1 article. Am I missing something? Coemgenv (talk) 16:08, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In 1975 there was a relatively rare trim of Civic called RS in Japan, which did have dual carbs, but I agree that it's a stretch to call it "legendary" so I've rewritten the sentence to be more neutral. CplDHicks2 (talk) 23:29, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
