March 2009 shooting relevant?[edit]

I'm wondering if the information on the March 2009 shooting is relevant/necessary for this article. It seems that few geographic entries feature a section on a particular crime unless the location is synonymous with the crime. Not the case with Hot Springs, which is known for the Homestead/tourism. 137.54.27.255 (talk) 16:36, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of first UN meeting?[edit]

According to Mark Mazower's Governing The World: The History of an Idea (a book about how international law and the United Nations came into being), the first meeting of the UN was held in Hot Springs, VA in 1943 by suggestion of the Roosevelt administration. Surely this should be mentioned? It's mentioned on page 200 in the chapter "The League is Dead. Long Live the United Nations." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.244.146.227 (talk) 08:00, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
