Fair use rationale for Image:Hotsummernight.jpg[edit]

Image:Hotsummernight.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:13, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hot Summer Night (film)Hot Summer Night – Sole Wikipedia entry which bears this specific title. The only other use is a redirect to an alternative song name which can handled via a hatnote. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 18:03, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well spotted, the baseline should not be directing to the Meat Loaf song, but Oppose as usual disambiguation is almost always there for a reason. In this case there are a dozen "Hot Summer Night" or variant subjects. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:11, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But, having said that bizarrely Hot Summer Night (play) was a redlink despite being one of the most notable dramas about race in British theatre history and the basis of the film Flame in the Streets. What does that tell us about our theatre article corpus? I've corrected the redlink. But there's still no primary topic, the baseline should be a dab page including all the "Hot Summer Night" subjects. 20:25, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
Hey presto Hot Summer Night (disambiguation) In ictu oculi (talk) 20:57, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. In the wake of the creation of Hot Summer Night (disambiguation) page, this nomination is withdrawn. It should be noted, however, that in view of the above statement, "But there's still no primary topic, the baseline should be a dab page including all the "Hot Summer Night" subjects", it may have been more apt to convert the Hot Summer Night redirect into a dab page, rather than to subsequently concede the existence of a primary topic without highlighting one atop a page which carries the qualifier "(disambiguation)". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 21:20, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Roman Spinner yes it would have been easier but there are trolls under the bridge, so it was safer. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:04, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In ictu oculi Be that as it may, the form of the Hot Summer Night (disambiguation) page will be, sooner or later, revised by one of the dab page regulars, either by moving it to Hot Summer Night, or by indicating the song redirect as the primary topic. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 23:20, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well let's decide now. Which would you prefer? In ictu oculi (talk) 23:22, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Since I have always preferred as few primary topics as is absolutely necessary, your initial statement, "But there's still no primary topic…" was perfectly satisfactory. I'll immediately take "the baseline should be a dab page…" as my first choice. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 23:29, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
