Anyone out there know the history of the Hall?

Wine auction[edit]

Not worthy of comment in the main article, but perhaps of interest to passing researchers, might be an auction, by Messrs. Christie, Manson & Woods, on 19 March 1931, “The Property of C. E. de Trafford, Esq., and removed from Hothorpe, Theddingworth, Rugby”. (My picture 21928.) JDAWiseman (talk) 17:04, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Which county[edit]

In which county is and was Hothorpe Hall? Charles de Trafford’s page has multiple mentions of his Leicestershire roles, including placing HH there. If the county boundary has moved across HH, would that be worthy of a clarification? (I merely observe the inconsistency but know not the facts.) JDAWiseman (talk) 11:13, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Located in the parish of Marston Trussell in Northamptonshire but closely associated with Theddingworth in Leicestershire. Nedrutland (talk) 11:55, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Was it always thus? JDAWiseman (talk) 13:12, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the Welland has remained the county boundary. Nedrutland (talk) 14:54, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for considering and answering the question. I defer to your expertise: matter closed. JDAWiseman (talk) 16:35, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
