Article name change[edit]

Hi Bovineboy2008, why did you change the name of the article to an English title? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:35, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:UE, we should use English titles on English wiki. BOVINEBOY2008 09:14, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not opposed to this name change, but WP:UE seems to apply more to Anglicization than to translating titles. Is the title of this film conventionally translated into English? I haven't seen that anywhere. It certainly isn't the case on imdb. Did you translate it yourself? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:58, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bovineboy2008, can you please take the time to respond to me? I'm genuinely trying to understand your reasoning, which may be obvious to you, but it isn't to me. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 03:24, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I found it on Box Office Mojo. If its not a widely used English name, then a move back to the original Czech may be appropriate. BOVINEBOY2008 09:38, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bovineboy2008, I'm more curious about the renaming convention than this particular title, to be honest. I've edited several film articles that use the native name in the title—even in this hexalogy, there are two other titles that, instead of using the English translation, use the Czech name instead—, and I'd like to know if there is a WP convention on this topic. WP:UE doesn't seem to address this particular point, as it has more to do with Anglicization of spelling than of titles of works. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:59, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
