African American?[edit]

Howard is categorized as an African American musician. Is that a joke? Xcryoftheafflictedx 05:33, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't he mixed? He certainly looks it. Sion 01:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Sion6. I wish there were more African American hardcore vocalists in the world, because they do a darn good job of it. ;) Elsebroke 16:36, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He might be mixed,or he could just be extremely pale. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.235.186.141 (talk) 02:18, 20 November 2007 (UTC) he probably is but even if ur mixed ur considered african american or black —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.1.182.126 (talk) 22:28, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He's super talented, though I found some details saying his middle name was Sion, combined with the last name Jones it makes me wonder whether one of his parents was of Welsh ancestry.Sata1991 (talk) 19:57, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Belief in God[edit]

A previous revision of this article stated that, while he is not necessarily a Christian, Howard Jones believes in God. Can someone verify this? His lyrics are blatantly Christian. Has anyone read the What Killswitch Engage Says article in HM Magazine? Replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Elsebroke 16:41, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no Jesse Leach's lyrics are blatantly Christian.68.252.94.90 18:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Howard Jones hails from Columbus, Ohio. He had attended many Christian and Non-Christian metal shows in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Both are called rumors. We don't know what Jones believes. Despite this, I'm pretty sure that any of you who have gone to Cornerstone fest more than once have spotted him there more than once. It's a rumor, one that I know is true, but I'm not a valid source and niether are rumors. According to ChaCha, Jones ia Christian (see: http://www.chacha.com/question/is-howard-jones-a-christian ), but despite the research the ChaCha guys do (interviews, sources, etc), we can't use that one source as a valid one (especially since we don't see what they used... which would be rather helpful). And correction: KSE's latest album has more Christian references than I've seen in past albums. Save Me, for instance? Yeah. Blatant. 64.234.0.101 (talk) 21:21, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite needed?[edit]

This article looks like a mess!

1st paragraph of "Biography": - The WWE-thingie this is more of a trivia than something biographical - "he resides in the New England area where both his bands originated": "both" bands? Only Killswitch Engage was mentioned before that point, his other band is mentioned in the sentence after the quoted one: very sloppy in style.

Next paragraph: "After the release of The Novella of Uriel, the band went on tour"... which one of the two?

And the list could go on and on. Can someone who is knowledgeable on this subject rewrite it? Thanks in advance!

Syrion 14:41, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually about the part where you mention the Novella of Uriel, that was 2001, and he joined KSE on 2002, so by the band went of tour he only had one, not two 189.156.49.158 (talk) 15:43, 6 May 2009 (UTC) they all believe in god but they dont consider themselves a christian band cuz therez 2 many different religions in the band —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.1.182.126 (talk) 22:29, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

straight edge[edit]

i read somewhere saying he was straight edge is this true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.162.159 (talk) 20:39, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yah, he said so in a chordmagazine interview, which you can read here: http://www.chordmagazine.com/issue/octnov_06/cover.shtm

He may have been straight edge at one time, but has not been for many many years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.234.57.98 (talk) 07:12, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I remember reading something that said Mike Jones in related to Howard Jones as siblings and that Howard appears as a guest on one of his albums. Can anyone verify this? 69.250.142.218 (talk) 03:57, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Just because they share an incredibly common last name, they automatically have to be related? 65.189.210.173 (talk) 11:46, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dont think we can ignore that just cause 72.199.100.223 (talk) 06:03, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Needs improvement[edit]

This article looks like it's been the victim of people adding and removing facts dozens of times without anyone actually working on making these changes look good. Could someone more knowledgeable about the man fix this? Also, a photo would be handy. --Sakaki22 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:59, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Vandalism[edit]

Howard Jones is the current blackie lead singer of American metalcore bands Killswitch Engage and Blood Has Been Shed. Someone put that up. I removed the "Blackie" part. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.38.28 (talk) 01:11, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed "He is actually African American." from the trivia section. Tenho Karite (talk) 16:22, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"He is happily married to his wife Amanda and they have one son together named howard Jones Jr."[edit]

Do you have a source for this? If not, I'll have to delete it. Tenho Karite (talk) 01:10, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My add got removed about his current tiger woods actions i supplied a VERY reliable source and twitter feed source for the add. why'd it get removed? (Mibass) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikabass (talkcontribs) 21:46, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Originally from Columbus."[edit]

Columbus what? Ohio? Georgia? Arkansas? Illinois? Kansas? Texas? Kentucky? Indiana? Mississippi? Montana? Nebraska? New Jersey? New York? North Carolina? Texas? North Dakota? Wisconsin? I'm sure you get my point here. 65.189.210.173 (talk) 11:44, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His Age[edit]

He's 38 years old. Their official website will give you a PDF file of their interview with Kerrang Magazine and he says "I'm 38". I just don't know how to source a PDF file. he is 39 about 2 turn 40! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.1.182.126 (talk) 22:30, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
