Thunder Butte reference error

The article states, "Reaching the Cheyenne, he fashioned a crude raft and floated down the river, navigating using the prominent Thunder Butte landmark."

This is not possible. Thunder Butte is in Ziebach county and approximately 60 miles from the Cheyenne River. Besides that, why would anyone need to navigate in the way mentioned when floating down a river?

The Thunder Butte page makes more sense. It describes Hugh as using Thunder Butte as a navigational reference while working his way from the Grand River to the Moreau River. It lies more-or-less on the divide between the Grand and Moreau rivers. Ddlyon (talk) 15:56, 21 December 2013 (UTC)ddlyon
