Valley Swim Club[edit]

Does anyone feel that it is very inappropriate to have Valley Swim Club section on the Huntingdon Valley, PA wikipedia page? This is but one incident (or should I say allegation, as that word is far more appropriate for now) in the history of an entire town. To reduce it all to an allegation seems to be made in very bad taste. By the same token, it would also be inappropriate for a wiki article about a professional athlete to only mention, or predominantly mention the time where he was cited for an open container violation. Copyvio[edit]

Current article text "...parents of minority children who were asked not to return to a suburban private pool are considering legal action, a Philadelphia camp director says. Alethea Wright of Creative Steps Day Camp in northeast Philadelphia says she had arranged for the 65 minority children in her day camp to go each Monday to The Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley, PA."

Text from a commercial news article [1] "parents of minority children who were asked not to return to a suburban private pool are considering legal action. Alethea Wright of Creative Steps in northeast Philadelphia says she had arranged for the 65 children in her day camp to go each Monday to The Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley."

Whether there is more plagarism or not in this section, I do not know, but I think it's likely, and copyright violation can't be tolerated. The section should be restored until someone confirms its clean. ike9898 (talk) 13:50, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another instance of plagarism[edit]

New sentence added to article "...Tyler Perry sponsored 65 children from a Philadelphia day camp to go to Walt Disney World after reading about allegations that Valley Swim Club had shunned them because of racism."

From commercial news site [2] "Tyler Perry is paying for 65 children from a Philadelphia day camp to go to Walt Disney World after reading about allegations that a suburban swim club had shunned them because of racism."

Changing just a few words is not enough to avoid plagiarism. Further, this information is starting to stray pretty far from the subject of the article. ike9898 (talk) 16:11, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no population info.?[edit]

For a town that is obviously declining in population over the long-term, with its loss of services, why isn't there any population information, demographic info. or population history in this article?
