Genres[edit]

If no one has publicly heard the music, should there really be a defined genre or two? 74.216.108.73 (talk) 02:59, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added a level 2 header to this discussion. You are correct. Genres are supposed to be referenced by a reliable secondary source (just like every other piece of information on Wikipedia). In this case, there have been no reviews of Hurley that we're made aware of, so the genre becomes an editor's WP:OPINION and is unverifiable as accurate. The genre(s) should be removed and not listed until a reliable article or review mentions the album's genre. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 04:33, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews[edit]

before you post "professional reviews" from places like "sputnikmusic" maybe look up the term "professional"

pretty much no one reputable has reviewed this yet, it's embarrassing enough to have to post/care what rolling stone thinks about weezer —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.203.145 (talkcontribs)

According to WP:ALBUM/REVSIT, SputnikMusic is acceptable as a professional review so long as the review was written by staff, not user contributors. I've also seen reviews by Spin and Chicago Tribune. Obviously there will be more reviews coming out. I just double checked all the links of the reviews you removed, and they're perfectly acceptable in accordance with the guidelines on WP:ALBUMS, etc. So I will revert your edit. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 18:19, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted that the Rock Sound review in the ratings template is not the official review from the publication. It's more of a track by track preview. All of their reviews have ratings out of ten. Fezmar9 (talk) 01:42, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The review from Ultimate Guitar's Staff is actually 10/10, whereas we have the average of user reviews listed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.177.48.19 (talk) 16:18, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jorge Garcia, best known as Hurley from Lost. It's the actual album cover. --RaygunShaun (talk) 23:20, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
