Name in German[edit]

According to Otto's encyclopedia, printed in 1890´s, there was not in 1890 any German minority. So there is not any "other" or "secondary" name in German.--Yopie (talk) 11:31, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The size of the German population is irrelevant to this discussion. The docs for the template do not mention that as the criterion for "other name": Template:Infobox_settlement#Parameter_names_and_descriptions. Additionally, a Czech language encyclopedia does not show "Husinetz" because it's a Czech language book. What page btw? I downloaded it but could not find reference. What is relevant is true or false, has "Husinetz" ever been used as the name of the town currently refered to by "Husinec"? Well of course it has so I'm undoing your improper edit:

  • Dear Hutcher, simple googletest: Husinec 104,000 results, Husinetz 1,860 results. Description of template says that other name may be used "for places with a former or more common name like Bombay or Saigon". Name "Husinetz" is not "more common" or former name, it was name of village in German. I will wait few days for your reply, but I think, that we conclude, that Husinetz is not "other name".--Yopie (talk) 18:54, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
