Copyrighted quotes[edit]

This article has several long quotes of both prose and poetry written by the subject. There is no evidence that she has given permission for these to be published here under a free license. Unless evidence of permission is forthcoming, I will remove them. . . Jim - Jameslwoodward (talk to mecontribs) 14:03, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional article[edit]

The article is very promotional. Example: "Velvet" (مُخْمَل) displays a rare paradigm of the true woman. What is a "rare paradigm" and why is it "rare" and what is a "true woman"? This is something a publisher would write for jacket copy. Example: developing a scene of egregious realism via a lavish narrative that embodies enchanting and shocking moments. A "lavish narrative" that is "enchanting" and "Shocking". This is not how we write at Wikipedia. It's highly opinionated POV and unattributed. -- GreenC 14:54, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Political Influence[edit]

The part about her political influence is supportive of her behavior in a very personal way, which is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. For instance, her rejection of dialogue with Israelis is called "relentless" and "courageous". Many would say she is antisemitic. The section discussing how she cancelled a book because it had Israeli contributors is also very uncritical of her.

Request for short translation/ completion[edit]

Hi, I wonder if someone who speaks Arabic could populate the citations 53,54 and 55, relating to TWW, as I would like to add them to another article. Thanks! Jontel (talk) 14:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
