I've seen other language Wikipedia pages listing her birth place as Yanji in Jilin during the era of the original Republic of China, although the current birthplace on this page is sourced. Can anyone provide additional information? HapHaxion(talk / contribs) 19:42, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HapHaxion: it looks like reliable sources disagree. North Korea Handbook (Yonhap) has it as North Hamgyong Province, but the Ministry of Unification's NK Info portal says just China. For what it's worth, North Korea's KCNA says "Helong-ri, Yanji County, China". – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 21:00, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
