Undue weight to single incident[edit]

The obsessive details about the killing of Cecil are FAR out of proportion to its importance to the subject of this article, the national park. It also is full of inappropriate editorializing about living people. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:57, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TheRedPenOfDoom: To be fair, the story has been picked up by every single major newspaper in the world. It is no longer a single incident but symbolic. @TheRedPenOfDoom: That is why I said that it would be better to make a separate page for Cecil (lion). The redirect is not a good idea and invites these divergences from the main subject.
