Move[edit]

Moved this page to Hyde Park, Perth. New title is more descriptive - other Hyde Park articles generally use the convention Hyde Park comma City, not Hyde Park (administrative division). If you have any problems feel free to discuss Ignorant Armie s 13:37, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Location and note[edit]

I don't think that the recently added note, describing the location of the Perth suburb, improves the article. I've updated the article's description of Hyde Park's location to explicitly mention the suburb, rather than the LGA. I've left the new note (which, by the way, is not a reference) for now, but I really think it should be deleted. If someone wants to know where the suburb of Perth is, they can just click the (now more obvious) wiki-link to the article about the suburb of Perth, and read all about it there. Hyde Park Fair/Festival[edit]

Does anyone know - and can provide refs for - when the Hyde Park Fair (or Hyde Park Festival, as it used to be known) started? According to this the Rotary Club of North Perth has been coordinating it for "nearly 30 years", but I'm sure that it has been running for longer than that. I remember going to it in either 1978 or 1979, and these references [1][2] refer to the festival in 1978-80. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:47, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
