Village People[edit]

Third para, first sentence:

Hypermasculine styles in gay male culture are prominent in gay disco groups of the 1970s such as Village People...

Village people were rather unique in their blatant characterisations. I don't know of others. As groups (plural) are mentioned, does anyone have any other examples?

If no other disco/group examples, I think the following is better:

???[edit]

Comparing the editorial “Boys: Masculinity in Contemporary Culture” to the wikipedia article on Hypermasculinity in the media; I come to the conclusion that both texts adequately substantiate the very complex atmosphere of male gender expectations. Although the Wikipedia article explores the ramifications and exact data surrounding the topic, it fails to discuss what it means for those consuming the messages. The article does not discuss plausible social damage or record any social relevance to supoort the data being presented — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.51.93.153 (talk) 05:27, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Spaghetti Western[edit]

Spaghetti Western is a good example of hypermasculinity. Just granpa (talk) 07:41, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
