Scenes of Vietnam War[edit]

having not seen the video, i cannot be sure, but i'm hesitant to believe that scenes of the Vietnam War would involve an Apache helicopter. Chronoso 12:36, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe not an actual apache, my military aircraft knowledge has some gaps in it but there's definately an attack helicopter loosing dozens of missiles at a target. It might be worth findind a picture to see what helicopter it really is, what was the one from Airwolf?Simondrake 10:22, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Misinterpreted as anti-religious? Surely it is precisely that. The song is about the loss of innocence, including "They sold me a dream of Christmas. They sold me a silent night. And they told me a fairy story till I believed in the Israelite". The composer has complained about Christmas becoming centred entirely around shopping, and prefers to use the term Christmas instead of Holiday Season, which wouldn't make sense if he was anti-religious. Of course it's possible that what he wrote back then doesn't reflect his views now. Looking at the complete lyrics, the main thing this song is about is a child disappointed when they realise the brutality of the real world. Recordings of the track[edit]

This article does not fully expalin that the Greg Lake solo version and the recording on "Works" are substantially different. Since Greg Lake was the vocalist on both recordings, should there be some asknowledgement of this included in the article? Same melody as Yankovic's song?[edit]

I just listened to "The Night Santa Went Crazy" over on YouTube. The melody is not the same at all, and no portion of "I Believe..." is excerpted in the song, either. PMaranci (talk) 14:36, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Human Drama version[edit]

The article said that Human Drama recorded it in 1999. Perhaps they did it more than once, but a version by them was included in the compilation "Stuff This in Your Stocking" released by Skyclad in 1990, so I changed it to the earlier year. Richard K. Carson (talk) 23:11, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
