Geordie ? ![edit]

His birth certificate gave his place of birth as being Newcastle [upon-Tyne]. This was not true, but, it was what he wished to be the truth ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.65.61 (talk) 14:22, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is his death certificate that contains the error. Blackberry Sorbet (talkcontribs) 14:35, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Gordon Cullen[edit]

Cullen was the illustrator and art editor at AR - while not disputing that he illustrated Nairn's work, a reference specifically describing him as a co-author is necessary. Synthesis of sources which credit his illustrations is not the same as a source which credits him as a "co-author". Blackberry Sorbet (talkcontribs) 12:17, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

His opinion of Surrey[edit]

It was the balancing-act nature of this essentially suburban environment which he stated 'produced a deep hatred of characterless buildings and places'.

We can't tell whether he is criticizing Surrey or praising qualities that other locations lacked. Valetude (talk) 12:40, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
