This seems more like a review and seems odd - most of his books are fiction, not non-fiction, with some real and some fictitious characters. --Awiseman 19:33, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request see Encyclopedia:Chareteristics. From the same entry," "The epigraph from Horace on the title page of the 18th-century Encyclopédie suggests the importance of the structure of an encyclopedia: "What grace may be added to commonplace matters by the power of order and connection." ". If the subject does not merit or demand a fuller, formal treament as in case of Chesapeake or Ulysses, then, IMHO, so what if it looks like a review. VivekM 07:52, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a different approach to writing an article about a book that does not look or feel like a review? Why should the article's authors seek other approaches? What is the reasoning behind criticizing the tone or style of this article as "not appropriate" for Wikipedia? Finally, what would be more "appropriate"?
