Proposal for Merge with Ichikawa Ebizō[edit]

I don't know if it matters at this point, since the proposal has been up there for more than two years, but, for what it is worth,

  • Oppose - While the same actor often takes on the names Ebizō and Danjūrō at different points in his career, these are separate names; for the sake of simplicity, clarity, and organization, I believe that each of these "lineage" articles should be kept separate. Otherwise, if there is justification for including Ebizo and Danjuro in the same article, then that same justification would go for incorporating all Ichikawa names into a single article, from Ichikawa Danzō and Danjirō to Ichikawa Raizō, Sadanji, and Shinnosuke; this would result in an unnecessarily lengthy article. Better to keep them separate, with one article for each lineage. LordAmeth (talk) 01:10, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
