Comments

  • The lead could use a little expansion, it should cover all main aspects of the article, including the production, the reception and possibly the merchandising.
  • Good news: image checks out for fair use licence.
  • When submitting an answer, is it multiple choice or are they writing stuff down?
  • Any chance of a real example of these questions?
  • Bonus Round, why not Smart Money Round in the heading if that's what it's called?
  • " answer five Idiotests " okay, you need to say earlier on that that's how they refer to the questions, as "Idiotests".
  • " with five second penalties" five-second
  • "with five second penalties on wrong answers" for wrong answers, not "on" wrong answers.
  • You haven't explained what GSN stands for anywhere.
  • "announced at GSN's 2014–15 upfront presentation on March 18, 2014. At the presentation, GSN announced" repetitive.
  • "which began airing April 1, 2015.[7]" so 68 isn't the current total...? Is it weekly?
  • There are two new episodes a week; I've added a note in the infobox. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 13:39, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "has generally received" is generally needed here?
  • Media Life Magazine is a work and should be italicised.
  • "Users who answer a certain amount of questions correctly" clumsy writing.
  • Publisher in ref 10 appears to be in parentheses while the publisher in ref 12 does not. Consistency please.

That's it, nothing major, but some issues with some of the prose and some more content could be added to enhance the reader's understanding of the show's main concepts. I'll put it on hold for a week. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:15, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, a lightweight article but one that nevertheless meets my interpretation of the criteria and isn't obviously defective in any critical section. Promoted. Good work. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:56, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SkipperRipper's recent edits that were reversed.[edit]

@Bcschneider53: I always thought more info was a good thing for the wiki reader/user. "Money meter" is used frequently throughout each episode, and, as you well know, when time runs out, instead of $0, the meter always displays IDIOT. Ben's tag line (and how/why do you get to decide what is "notable" and what isn't?) is used almost exclusively each episode when player two comes out of isolation (in one recent episode, he changed it because a preacher was coming out of the isolation booth). Any and all of my items could have been easily worded to be of encyclopedic value, maybe you could have helped in that instead of undoing my informational edits. --SkipperRipper (talk) 02:11, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@SkipperRipper: Luckily, this page is on my watch list, since both attempts at pinging me did not work. You have the right template, but you needed to sign your post again in order for it to notify me. Make sure you always use that template and sign your post with the same edit.
As for your edits...well, I reverted (or modified) them in good faith because while they were well-intended, they either contained unencyclopedic material or weren't well formatted. This edit, for example, has multiple problems. It should be Gleib, not Ben (WP:SURNAME) and the catchphrase fails WP:SUSTAINED. For example, when someone hears, "Final answer?", "Survey says!", or even "I'd like to buy a vowel", any game show fan knows right away what show they're referring to. "Let's do this" is not nearly that notable when it comes to Idiotest. (To be honest, I've seen about twenty episodes and didn't pick up on this once.)
Lastly, "more is always good" is not true. That argument fails WP:TRIVIA and the idea of putting quality over quantity. If you have any more questions, I'm all ears. Cheers, --Bcschneider53 (talk) 02:30, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Bcschneider53: Thanks for the heads up on the ping/reply to. I did a [Show preview] without my sig, and that threw me off when your name didn't wikilink. Back on topic, wouldn't you agree that "money meter" belongs in the article due to its common use each episode? For informational purposes, I've seen a great majority of all the episodes, I rarely catch "new" ones (to me) in a rerun time slot. --SkipperRipper (talk) 04:12, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@SkipperRipper: That seems fine to me; go ahead and add it back in. If I think it could be reworded a bit, I'll tweak it (this is a GA so the prose must be as engaging as possible). Thanks, --Bcschneider53 (talk) 12:03, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Bcschneider53: Sounds good, will get that in later. Thanks. --SkipperRipper (talk) 15:47, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
