I am willing to do this review. From an initial look I have some concerns over the rather large controversy section. AIRcorn (talk) 10:22, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay it appears to be nothing in there that stands out as being bad. However, I would be much more comfortable if it was mixed in with his club career so it doesn't stand out so much. I do feel that this is a neutrality issue. Also the club career contains too many sentences written in dairy format (i.e. a list of dates followed by a short statement). It would be better if it was mixed up a bit, incorporating the controversy section should help this. Also the international career section could probably be written better to combine the short paragraphs. AIRcorn (talk) 10:28, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't be averse to adding more information to the lead either. AIRcorn (talk) 10:29, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't started the review yet, but it was pointed out on my talk page that this sentence On 17 December, Zenit's largest ultra group, Landscrona, posted a manifesto on their website, echoing the ideas of Denisov, demanding that Zenit never buy a black or gay player, rather keep relying on Russians and "players from other brotherly Slav nations." is not supported by the source. That will need to be supported by a better source or should be removed. AIRcorn (talk) 12:06, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some issues have been raised about the neutrality of the article and they have not been addressed. I think this is serious enough to warrent failing the article at this stage. AIRcorn (talk) 10:09, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
