Copy editing but article still needs work[edit]

Copy editing on several aspects of this article, see list below. However, the article still needs work, especially by editors knowledgeable with the local culture.

  • General copyediting.
  • Removed link to an empty website on the information box.
  • Used Ketu instead of Ketou in all mentions, for consistency.
  • Changed “ILE-IFE” to Ife and linked to article.
  • Simplified name of Yoruba deity to just “Oduduwa” in every mention and linked to article.
  • Link to Yoruba people added in text.
  • Removed repetition for clarity in the History section.
  • Removed this section from history “Oduduwa and the line of Alaketu” as it was just a copy paste from the Oduduwa article.
  • Is Sopasan the same as Alaketu?
  • What is “Ose Sango and Edun Aara”?
  • Removed isolated, incomprehensible mentions of: "Babalase the Native Doctor" and "Iji Agananku the great warrior".
  • Moved youtube link to external links section.
  • Removed “Publisher” as irrelevant.
  • Removed empty sections.
  • Removed Landmarks/Compounds section, since it did not add to the quality of the article.
  • Multiple edits for correctness, clarity and non-encyclopedic language in the “Colonial years” section.
  • Removed “Geography” section as it was mainly a repetition of the introduction.
  • Removed some non-english phrases that did not have translation or explanation.
  • Removed too much detail from description of local dishes.
  • Fixed words capitalized for no reason (e.g. Tomatoes, Onions).
