GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
After a CCI, the article has been deemed free of copyright violations and plagiarism concerns. That they were present while this was listed is not a good sign. However, the entire article could use a good copy edit to clear up abbreviation and capitalization issues.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
    See below.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
    See below.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
A separate criticism section is not neutral. This content should be integrated into other sections where it applies.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    See below
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
I will hold this review for 7 days for fixes. If nothing is done during that timeframe, the article will be delisted as a GA. Imzadi 1979  00:35, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Prose quality

  • The article uses abbreviations inconsistently. Highway designations are used without giving the full name or a link on first usage, for example.
  • The article uses words as proper nouns incorrectly. The word "tollway" without any modifiers is not a proper noun on its own, and it should not appear capitalized.

Referencing issues

  • The references section has deadlinks
Fixed – found archive urls for all refs marked as dead links - Evad37 [talk] 01:43, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Many of the citations are incomplete, and they are very inconsistent in terms of formatting.
  • There several places with uncited text, and in many of these, there are claims that require referencing under the GA criteria.

Factual accuracy and currency

  • Whole areas of the article are out of date by three years now cited to the 2010 budget. These need to be updated.
  • "In 2004, ISTHA voted to rename this route the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway. The route was later given the I-88 designation in order to obtain a higher speed limit." The I-88 designation predates the memorial name, and that whole paragraph is uncited.
  • There needs to be an update to the article related to the Congestion Relief Plan. It's nearing the end of 2013 now, and that information was out of date as of last year.
  • ISTHA has taken over the former Elgin–O'Hare Expressway (now Illinois Route 390).

Image copyrights and captions

  • No proof that File:ISTHA Seal.JPG is actually in the public domain. Since ISHTA did not exist before January 1, 1923, the license tag applied to that image is false. At worst, this needs to be deleted from Commons and reuploaded locally under a fair-use rationale.
    • OK, it's based on the state seal, but did not note that. The Great Seal of the State of Illinois dates back to 1819. Imzadi 1979  01:35, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The other images are fine.
  • "Northbound Interstate 294 in Alsip, one-half mile south of 127th Street." is not a full sentence, so it does not get a period.
With no action except on the dead links, which isn't a part of the GA criteria, this article is being delisted. Imzadi 1979  01:35, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
