FLAG[edit]

I presume that I am the "major contributor" referred to. I have no professional or financial or interpersonal connections with CAHSR; I am merely a citizen of California who is interested in the project. Frankly, this topic was a mess (out of date and poorly organized), and I've been working for years to revise the topic (separate subarticles for major issues, clear subtopics within each article, and bringing it up to date). I was responsible for creating this major subtopic, so clearly most of the posts are mine. The next subtopic (hopefully in early in 2024) will be Trains of CAHSR, after the RFP and train specs are released. Of course I'd like this project to succeed, but it is not up to me! Mega-projects like this often have major difficulties and lots of public confusion and opposition. I'm trying to dispel all that to the best I can. Simply because there are problems and some opposition does not mean that that viewpoint should be over-represented. In fact, evidence is that over 50% approve of the project, and it's higher in the northern part of the state. There is a LOT of detailed information out there which most people have no interest in wading through; this is long enough as it is! Robert92107 (talk) 22:59, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
