Title of the article[edit]

The article gives statistics about the rate of assault on women in Indian states and territories. Hence the article title should have been "Indian states and territories ranked by assault on women". The current title amounts to Original research. Salih (talk) 16:51, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

I have placed two columns (1) "Rate of Total Crime against Women (2018)", as per the National Crime Records Bureau "Crime in India" report, (2) "Political entities with comparable crime rate". (2) is suppose to be a comparison for (1). This would go down as original research. Apart from that I am comparing crime rate of a country with a subdivision, further one is the crime rate against women while the other is total crime rate.

To sort this out a reference would need to be found comparing India's administrative subdivision with the crime rate in countries, if that is even a statistically sound comparison, or just a populist method of conveying such data that can and should only be done with things like country area/size.

I have placed an original research tag. If I can't find an adequate citation I will remove the column.DTM (talk) 13:53, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
