One of the awards listed is by the Europe Business Assembly which has been identified as a vanity award, that is, bought and paid for by Insight Communications. These awards are scams and is a strong signal that other awards listed may also be fraudulent in nature. -- GreenC 15:01, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, @GreenC:! Just wondering, which awards are we talking about in particular? Are they still on the article? Hickland (talk) 18:06, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
From article:
Also in 2015, Biodun Shobanjo received the Manager of the Year award at the International Achievements Forum held by the Europe Business Assembly (EBA) at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London, UK (a vanity award).[1]
Okay, so do you want to remove those awards under the premise of NPOV? Hickland (talk) 16:39, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure why. It doesn't make them look good, but we don't scrub material to make them look better. Perhaps removal of (a [[vanity award]]) since they may not have known it was a vanity award ( we don't know either way ) and no sources discuss Insight Communications Limited in connection to a vanity award. Still, they have this award and it's sourced. When the subject claims "easily the most awarded advertising agency in Nigeria", which awards they have becomes a notable topic. -- GreenC 17:35, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the vanity award notice but kept the information about the award itself. I will see if I can go through this article and clean it up a little bit more to get rid of some of the slightly more biased language. Hickland (talk) 04:04, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
