Newsnight debate[edit]

I have undone the deletion and added two citations to support the post. This is an important interview which reveals a part of his early history (flower delivery). It also reveals some of his capitalist views which some people will dislike and others will agree with. What was written was as factual as possible and as accurate as possible. If it is perceived as negative that is in the mind of the reader. Please edit or amend with a better or more accurate alternative instead of deleting. Transcripts are available from the BBC upon request. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.22.37.204 (talk) 15:08, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a comment on the unison website about this debate... http://unisonactive.blogspot.com/2010/12/minimum-wage-should-be-living-wage-bick.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.22.37.204 (talk) 16:05, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

bbc iplayer link is here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00wh6x4/Newsnight_03_12_2010/

Who is Michael Finlan? Could be a viewer's name and response because nobody by that name was in the debate. Therefore I will remove the sentence and rewritten the article to reflect the debate more accurately

In response to this Michael Finlan, said "Follow Irwin and the destination is mass slavery." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.22.37.204 (talk) 14:42, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Newsnight episode[edit]

Both the "references" just redirect to http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wh6x4 - a page that simply states there was an episode of Newsnight presented by Gavin Esler. Nothing about Stelzer, or any confirmation of what he said, or criticism about him not including inflation in his figures. "Transcript is available upon request" does not make a reference.

Please read the following policies/guidelines: WP:UNDUE and WP:BLP. If a guy has had a 50 year career as an economist, it is a massive breach of due weight, to devote half his biography to a minor argument that took place on one news show. Moreover, if criticism of him (e.g. over inflation) is to be included for a living person, then it must be well-sourced. What is going on in this article is absolutely unacceptable until those concerns are addressed. TheGrappler (talk) 18:17, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
