Another Author, Naura Hayden, wrote a book with the same title in 1980 (ten years before Piers Anthony's book was published). Isle of View by Naura Hayden was published in 1980 by Arbor House Publishing Company and in Canada by Clarke, Irwin & Company, Ltd.

Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 79-56016. ISBN: 0-87795-257-4. The Copyright is 1980 by Naura Hayden.

Can an author copyright the same title for a book copyrighted by another author a decade earlier?
