As of July 29, 2007, due to budget cuts, all that is left of Reshet Hey / Israel Radio International proper, is 1.5 hours of Persian.

The rest of the shortwave schedule consists of relays of portions of REKA, the domestic foreign language network. In terms of the English schedule, the 10 PM Israel Time broadcast has been cancelled, as that was a Reshet Hey broadcast. The other three English broadcasts remain as relays of REKA.

The IBA and israelradio.org websites have yet to be updated with the new schedules. The left side of reka.iba.org.il has parts of the new schedule.

Voice of Israel redirect[edit]

I don't know enough on the subject, so I haven't done it myself, but shouldn't Voice of Israel redirect to Kol Yisrael rather than here? Given that the name of the other entry is the translation of "voice of Israel"... I could be wrong, however. Let me know. Phileas (talk) 21:52, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kol Israel (Yisrael) translates to The Voice of Israel, but has been more formally called Israel Radio, in English.

As of March 02, 2008, they have been announcing that all shortwave broadcasts will cease as of March 31, 2008. As of April 1, they point listeners to a new, not yet existing website: http://www.intkolisrael.com

It seems that the Persian shortwave service will be saved.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.232.99.169 (talk) 03:23, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New, private "Voice of Israel" means: DISCONNECT automatic link to here![edit]

Hi. A private right-wing online radio station self-named "Voice of Israel (http://www.voiceofisrael.com), launched end of 2014 before the elections and led by Daniel Seaman, a former media official ousted by the Netanyahu (!) government for extreme online remarks, is "taking a lift" on the old, renowned IRI wagon. Who has the skill to disconnect the automatic link between "Voice of Israel" and this IRI page, at least until the "hitchhiker" has been dealt with legally? We don't want to help this mascarade, or do we?Arminden (talk) 05:21, 5 May 2015 (UTC)Arminden[reply]

If you know where Kan has audio in Farsi, please post a link. All I get are short articles. Thank. 100.15.127.199 (talk) 20:46, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
