"Famed musicologist"[edit]

@Why should I have a User Name?: Can you please explain this edit? I assume the "famed international musicologist" is supposed to be Compton Mackenzie? You're aware Mackenzie died in 1972, before the first festival took place? Did you look up that issue of The Gramophone, or were you merely going by the Google Books snippet? (Note: Writing this without having looked at the article) Why don't you simply withdraw the AfD nomination? So we can all sit together and develop this article. Then you may also correct whatever mistake I made in a hurry to show you that the Festival is much more notable than you (don't) think. Or you prefer to embarrass me because you think I embarrassed you? We are not kids. Regards. --Why should I have a User Name? (talk) 06:44, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Istanbul International Festival[edit]

Possible EL source for the early history of the festival. Came across this 1978 magazine while looking for something else - http://www.genryu.org/archives/files/pdf/23/1978trn4.pdf article titled "Festival" by Charles Adelsen. Tiptoethrutheminefield (talk) 16:15, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
