Fails verification ?[edit]

Hi, DaTraveller. Please provide clarification of why you added back "In 1888, the railroad brought in laborers from Italy as an alternative workforce.[1]"
I am unable to confirm that the text you are adding is derived in any way whatsoever from the reference you are citing. Can you please provide a clear explanation for the discrepancy? FeatherPluma (talk) 18:26, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! My apologies for the revert as I was unaware that the links were changed. Please understand that when I started this page the links were about the history of Italian migration to Costa Rica. I didn't know what happened but it appeared that the references were removed and I was not informed. DaTraveller (talk) 18:46, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, DaTraveller. Thank you for a cheerful reply. I will remove the uncited material now. It can be added back if a proper source is found. For example, you could use Wayback to hunt for the content if you wish to point to the relevant version. Had you chosen to annotate the version date in the reference this would have made things easier.
Can you please provide the exact page for the very precise "2300 citizens and 300,000 descendants" in the text? This has been tagged since April 2015 as needing further details. I now intend to remove this content within 48 hours if supporting reliable sources are not provided. The general reference attached to the text[2][page needed] is inadequate because the source does not appear to support the claim on electronically searching using reasonable Spanish language denotatives. It is possible that it exists on some some subpage but you understand that retention of the text claim depends on pointing unambiguously to an exact citation. Hi, DaTraveller. That specific content is now removed as discussed. The next step is to ask for references for "Most of them reside in San Vito, the capital city of the Coto Brus Canton" please. Once again, I will remove this unsupported content within 2 to 3 days if supporting reliable sources are not provided. The content can always be added back later if sources are found. Proposed merger to Demographics of Costa Rica[edit]

This article is unreferenced, in that its only reference fails verification and is to a source of less than WP:RS threshold. I propose this article for merger with redirect to Demographics of Costa Rica. Policy-based input is welcomed. FeatherPluma (talk) 20:04, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. I see no need for a bunch of separate, tiny articles for each sub-ethnicity. Why not put them all into the main Costa Ricans article? --Uncle Ed (talk) 12:36, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
