The etymology section needs review, or possibly the opening section does: Reece's view that the original name is Thōmē applies only to the one in Thessaly, and this is perfectly clear from the relevant passage in his book, which comes up in Google Books with a simple search. He even says that the place in Messenia called Ithōmē may have been the source of the change of name for the place in Thessaly, meaning that he considers Ithōmē to be the correct form for the place in Messenia. His sources as he cites them also clearly refer to the place in Thessaly, never to the one in Messenia, including the sources that provide the alternate form Thamai. This article says it's about the place in Messenia, but all this information about the name of the place in Thessaly is given in the etymology section. 96.239.76.157 (talk) 04:28, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
