I'd say so. The lead image at present doesn't really make it clear what a jōe looks like.

As an aside - a number of Japanese culture and clothing articles need better images. Kimono's lead image is serviceable, but not brilliant. Kanzashi doesn't have nearly enough good, clear example images, and Nihongami is also lacking in examples. -- Ineffablebookkeeper (talk) 10:14, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

self-recursing redirect?[edit]

the article contains a link to the Kariginu article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kariginu ), a link that redirects to this article. are we sure this self-recursing behaviour is intentional?
