FWIW, after talking to lawyers over the years about these matters, I don't think it's a copyright violation to copy an author's biography from a publisher's press material. It's not a copyright violation to copy material that is intended to be copied, like a press kit. --Nbauman (talk) 21:02, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
