Trying to find a championship Pfefer created[edit]

This pre-2009 article specified that on 10 November 1939 that Bobby Bruns (who became the first MWA World Heavyweight Champion in January 1940) defeated a man named Maurice Boyer (then the World Light Heavyweight Champion) and that this victory is what led to his consideration for the MWA-WHC. Specifically the phrase is:

On Nov. 10, 1939 at Bridgeport, Conn., Bobby Bruns defeated Jack Pfefer's world light heavyweight champion Maurice Boyer.

From that point forward in New England and the Atlantic Coast, the title changed to a heavyweight title and Pfefer billed Bruns as heavyweight world champion.

I am not clear whether or not the World Light Heavyweight Championship changed hands in this match. It is mentioned that it was the "Jack Pfefer version" of the title though, implying that there might be other WLHC titles out there somewhere. It may be that (since it's lowercase) this phrase was merely descriptive and not an actual proper name of the title, it's a bit unclear.

Would anyone know anything in particular about Bruns or Boyer and any dealings they may have had with Pfefer? They aren't mentioned in the Wikipedia article and I'd like to cross-reference this data. It's critical to tracing back the origins of the MWAWHC which itself heavily contributed to the notability of the NWAWHC which in turn led to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that Randy Orton currently holds.
