Parentage of which nation

As this person is mentioned to be a US national, it might be wise to add a note on native land of his parents. In the case of US, this is imperative. Issues with 2018 subsection

The current version of the 2018 subsection has numerous problems, including (1) going into too much detail when describing matches by including too many opponents' names, (2) including scores when describing match results, (3) listing too many matches one-by-one, (4) bias in terms of which sources to include by only including sources that criticize Sock and not the ones that vindicate him, (5) drawing too much attention to a first-round match at a low-level tournament, (6) claiming that Sock was denied $100,000, even though the source used says the tournament directors merely considered this, and did not state whether it was done, (7) neglecting the role Sock's injury problems and shorter off-season (which is backed by sources) played in his performance, (8) not using neutral tone by suggesting that losing in the first round at two consecutive ATP tournaments is poor form, (9) copying the wording from the 2016 subsection at the beginning, and (10) being too long for describing one month of the season. These issues violate WP:UNDUE, WP:NEUTRAL, and the guidelines for how to write articles for tennis players in WP:TENNIS. This is way over the top. The 2018 section is hardly overly detailed as you claim. Yet, you also then insist that the section also must include other information about injuries. As is, it includes a brief overview of his first three tournaments, which has since been edited down, including the issues at the Auckland event widely discussed in the press which you completely removed at one point which suggests your own bias. Besides the section being too detailed, the problem is that it follows the format of: First, Sock played in Tournament A. He didn't play well. Then, Sock played in Tournament B. He didn't play well and he was criticized. Then, Sock played in Tournament C. He still didn't play well. While there is nothing wrong with this per se, it would be more concise and follow a better literary style if it read as: Sock played in Tournaments A, B, and C and he didn't play well in any of them. In particular, he was criticized in Tournament B. Why do you disagree with this? Sportsfan77777 (talk) 20:59, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
