Eponymous namesake in Illinois[edit]

Is there some way to make it more clear that this North Carolina-located Jacksonville Speedway (closed) is not the same as the Illinois-located Jacksonville Speedway (currently in operation). Was the defunct one historically more notable than the current one? - Buckaboob Bonsai (talk)

If two subjects have the same name, Wikipedia distinguishes between them by disambiguation.
Since the Illinois speedway does not have its own article, one approach might be to add a hatnote to this article like this one:
{{Hatnote|This article is about the NASCAR track in North Carolina. There is another track of the same name in [[Jacksonville, Illinois#Attractions|Jacksonville, Illinois]].}}
This mimics what the {{about}} template would do, but we use the more general template because the subject does not strictly adhere to that other template's expectations.
Now the fact that the mention of the Illinois speedway does not seem to have a reference is something else that needs to be addressed, but let's deal with one question at a time.
Do you want to try your hand at this edit? (I'm not sure either eponymous or namesake actually applies between the two racetracks.) — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:41, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you -- I can give that a try! - Buckaboob Bonsai (talk) 02:30, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
