Cumming on a shoe quote likely falsified[edit]

The infamous "cumming on a shoe" quote is likely falsified. The only source for this quote is an article from Judith Reisman, who was an anti-LGBT conspiracy theorist. She is not a reliable source for such a potentially libellous claim. A reliable source would be an original copy of the article by Breslow, of which none is available.

In any case, there is no basis for the article's claim that Breslow's remarks were "favourably comparing" child sexual abuse to masturbating on a shoe. The short, out-of-context quote comes across as a weird philosophical hypothetical, if anything. Since Breslow has clearly stated on the record that he does not support child sexual abuse, there is no basis at all for suggesting that he is presenting it favorably here.

Since "Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous," this quote should be swiftly removed. Lushmouse (talk) 18:02, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
