Semi-protected based on anonymously-sourced story[edit]

I noticed there have been about 80 edits and reverts in the 6 minutes or so since ESPN reported a deal with the Yankees, attributed to anonymous sources. So I've semi-protected the page for 3 hours to reduce the churn. Happy to extend the protection if others think it's useful but I wanted to start with a short window. -Pete (talk) 03:43, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good call. The MLB story clearly states the contract will be signed after a clean bill of health. NintendoFan (Talk, Contribs) 06:47, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ellsbury has agreed to a $153 million contract for 7 years. He is getting complaints from Boston fans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbtimes1 (talkcontribs) 01:34, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The term "full blooded" is obsolete, as it has a connotation with animal-breeding and bloodlines. Human beings have cultures and nationalities.Melaniesusans (talk) 02:40, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

why is this page still semi-protected[edit]

Is there a good reason this page is semi-protected? Boardg (talk) 16:01, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
