5 year term[edit]

Perhaps I missed it, but Chirac's first term was 7-years & his second term is 5-years (due to Constitional amendment). This should be added to the article. GoodDay 21:12, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Poorly sourced article[edit]

This is an article on five years of the administration of France, yet it has ten citations. Long passages are not sourced at all. Either editors need to come up with sources or this should be significantly trimmed, or put up for AfD.Browntable (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:49, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For example, its current form speculates whether Chirac will run for re-election - in 2007! Has this article really gone unchanged for ten years?Browntable (talk) 15:53, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Two years later... it's still unchanged, and still includes lines like It is unclear whether Jacques Chirac will run for a third mandate in 2007 and One issue seen of increasing importance with respect to a possible 2007 re-election bid is Jacques Chirac's age and health. As of September 2019, it's fair to say that Chirac's health status now conclusively rules out any future presidential bids... Robofish (talk) 21:59, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
