Regarding jamie-pressly.org link[edit]

I removed the "Irresistible Jaime Pressly" link because it strikes me as nothing more than a fanboy website with information from other sources. (I would rather get the information directly from the sources this website used than the fan site iteself.) Thoughts? -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 18:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I always go for first-hand sources. Interviews are really best of all. JackO'Lantern 21:05, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You remove it then I will keep putting it back up, the Celebrities on Wikipedia are FULL of links to fansites, you might not like it but other people might appreciate it.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by DaisyDuke (talkcontribs) 10:30 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Then you are clearly not acting with civility and have utter disregard for your fellow Wikipedian's views and beliefs about policy. You have not pointed out any rational reason of why this link should be included in this article -- actually, you just simply reacted by adding your above reply and, then, shot yourself in the foot by blanking the entire discussion. (Which begs the question of why you bothered to reply in the first place, when you would erase not only previous comments on the link, but your own reply as well... but I digress.) Also, you clearly haven't read the guidelines for external links -- and just because celebrities on Wikipedia are full of links to fan sites doesn't mean that they should be linked on Wikipedia. I will kindly refer you to the fact that Wikipedia is not a link farm or repository for links. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:05, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I went to edit what I wrote & accidently deleted everything - beyond my control I am afraid. What I really want to know though is what GIVES YOU the right to play GOD & take away EVERYONE elses FREEDOM OF CHOICE & the FREEDOM TO MAKE UP THEIR OWN MIND & MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS? You are NOTHING but a narrow minded, ASSHOLE & I have to say that its people like you that give abortion a good name.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by DaisyDuke (talkcontribs) 08:14 5 February 2006 (UTC)

No personal attacks, sweety. Check out Wikipedia:External links, where Joe up there sent you. It's an official Wikipedia policy and we have to follow it. JackO'Lantern 08:16, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that you are angry, but everyone must follow Wikipedia policy. No one, I'm not afraid to say, is above Wikipedia policy... which is clearly something you have not reviewed, given your past actions. Now, I am willing to help you out -- despite the personal attacks -- and my door is always open for new people. Since it is clear to me that you haven't read over the policies and procedures on Wikipedia, or even have basic understanding of Wikipedia operations (such as reverting edits), I will highly recommend that you take some time and read over the applicable policies, so that incidents of this nature do not occur again. In fact, a majority of the links needed to guide you in the right direction have already been posted on your user talk page by Jeandré! Of course, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to post them! Thank you! -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 16:14, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Source for Carson Daly link[edit]

Under "Personal Life", it said that Pressly was linked with Carson Daly, and gave this as a source, but the "source" is just a WireImage page that contains no material to support this assertion. I removed that link, and placed a source needed tag at the end of that passage.

Drew's body double in Poison Ivy?[edit]

I know everybody says she was, but who hires a girl 14 or 15 years old to work as a body double? Is there any evidence?Brian8710 09:09, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the statement.Brian8710 19:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering that myself...I actually came here ready to post the same question...that's what I've heard all over the place, but no where very concrete...
..and yeah...she would have been 14 or 15...never realized that...puts a big damper on the possibility it's true... --JohnDoe0007 07:26, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
She sort of was and she sort of wasn't. It's actually often misprinted that Jamie was Drew's body double, but in reality, they simply played the same character. Drew stars in Poison Ivy (1992). In the sequel(1996), starring Alyssa Milano, Alyssa finds Ivy's diary and photos and imagines a flashback of a nude Ivy. This Ivy is played by then 18-year-old Jamie Pressly, but you never see her face. So it's not so much her being a body double as it is her taking over the role for the sequel. She would later go on to star in the third Poison Ivy movie as Ivy's younger sister. Probably not worth adding to the main article as it's really sort of an insignificant role compared to her staring in the third film. Chrismaverick (talk) 00:16, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pronounciation[edit]

Do you know how to pronounce "Jaime" is it like "James" without a 's' or is it more like the French J'aime meaning I love/like? Leo (talk) 02:28, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Or Jamie or Hai-me ? -- Beardo (talk) 00:20, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Give me a break. "Jaime" = "Hai-me" is a Spanish-language boys' & men's name.

Jaime Pressly's first name is pronounced just like the first name of "Jaime Sommers", the "Bionic Woman", which is just like "Jamie".74.249.82.221 (talk) 05:02, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Smiths Music Video[edit]

Really gotta question the Smiths video (How Soon is Now) citation. She would have been 8 years old when that video was made. The woman in the video is a good 6-8 years older, minimum, possible 10+ years older.

I agree- this is not possible. The girl in the video is probably about 20 I'd estimate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.216.43.66 (talk) 10:34, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It can't be her because she would've been too young, so this rumor needs to die. • SbmeirowTalk • 07:03, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
