Untitled[edit]

Not much here about Dr. Beckett. Also, I'd be interested in reading about possible perverting prices in the 80's/90's of the guides. Those went out with lead time, where others with knowledge could have profited. Also did he and PSA destroy the industry and hobby?

The last question is most definetly a matter of debate (personally I think too many products and overdoing the game used memobilia cards and 1/1's are what are killing the hobby). However, I think there should also be a seperate article about Beckett Baseball Card Monthly itself. Especially in the 1980s and 1990s, that was THE trading card price guide; every dealer I ever seen used only that guide. I personally have almost a whole run from 1988-96 (IMO, Beckett's peak years in popularity), but I'm not sure how to use them to really do the BBCM article justice.76.177.174.82 08:01, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article may be improved by following the WPBiogaphy 11 easy steps to producing at least a B article. --KenWalker | Talk 06:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Primary meaning[edit]

Is this person really a lot more important than James Beckett (politician) and James Beckett (actor)? I suggest this is a case of no primary meaning. PatGallacher (talk) 20:01, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

D.O.B?[edit]

It is normal to quote date-of-birth. Valetude (talk) 10:54, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
